As the 2025/26 season comes to a close, it is a great opportunity to reflect on the progress, achievements and opportunities earned by players across Bishopton Football Club.
Player development is at the heart of everything we do. Whether a player is taking their first steps in football, building confidence with their teammates or progressing into an academy environment, every journey is worth celebrating.
Boys’ Pathway Success
This season has seen two fantastic examples of player progression from our boys’ section.
Lewis Banks, who began his football journey with Bishopton FC, recently signed for Celtic. Lewis has consistently demonstrated the commitment, attitude and willingness to learn that help young players maximise their potential. His move to Celtic is a significant achievement and one that everyone connected with the club can be proud of.
Within our 2016 age group, Charlie Ross has also taken an exciting step in his football journey by signing for Rangers Academy. Charlie’s achievement is another example of the opportunities available to players who work hard, embrace development and enjoy the game.
Girls’ Pathway Success
The growth and success of our girls’ section continues to be one of the club’s proudest achievements.
Hallie Frater joined Bishopton’s 2014s in 2020 before moving into the girls’ pathway in 2023. After two successful seasons, Hallie progressed to Glasgow City’s NXTGEN squad in 2025.
Harper Goodwin joined Bishopton Under-10 Girls as her first experience of girls’ football and quickly established herself within the team before progressing into Celtic’s Pre-Academy programme.
Sia Bell was one of the original players involved in Bishopton’s first all-girls teams in 2021. Having continued her development across both girls’ and boys’ football, Sia joined Celtic’s Pre-Academy earlier this year.
Millie Hall has also been part of the Bishopton Under-10 Girls environment and completes a trio of players connected to the team who have progressed into Celtic’s Pre-Academy pathway.
More Than Academy Football
While academy opportunities are exciting milestones, they represent just one measure of success.
At Bishopton FC, success is also about helping young people develop confidence, resilience, friendships and a lifelong love of football. Every player who pulls on a Bishopton shirt contributes to the club’s story, and every step forward deserves recognition.
These achievements reflect the hard work of our players and the dedication of our coaches, volunteers and families who continue to make Bishopton FC a positive environment for young footballers to learn and grow.
Congratulations to Lewis, Charlie, Hallie, Harper, Sia and Millie on their achievements, and thank you to everyone across the club for another successful season.
We look forward to seeing what next season brings.
